“It’s honestly hard to even find the words to articulate how much hosting international soccer coaches has meant to our family. When I first signed up, I thought our son would enjoy simply having someone to kick the ball around with outside of camp — but that turned out to be such a small part of what this journey has given us.
Over the years, we’ve hosted dozens of coaches, and time and time again the same thing happens: they arrive as strangers and leave as family.

What’s amazed me most is how deep these connections go. For example, Coach Lucas has known our kids since they were in elementary school.
Now, our oldest daughter, Hendley, is packing her bags for college, and it feels incredible to realize that he has been part of our family’s story through all these milestones. I’ve even found myself considering traveling to Brazil just to visit one of the coaches we’ve hosted — that’s how much these relationships have come to mean.
It’s so much more than just hosting. It’s about building bonds that cross borders and last a lifetime. Truly, it has been one of the most special things we’ve ever done as a family, and it’s something we eagerly look forward to every single summer.”
