RISE at BUSA: Helping Athletes Grow On and Off the Field

At BUSA, the RISE program was created to give young athletes the tools to grow in every aspect of their development—physical, technical, nutritional, and psychological. It’s all about preparing players for a long and successful journey in soccer.

James, a parent from BUSA-Frederick, has seen firsthand how RISE has helped his son Dominic. “My son’s desire to enhance his soccer skills and secure more playing time beyond his regular practices during the week prompted me to enroll him in the RISE program,” he explained. Hearing other parents speak positively about the program made the decision even easier.

Since joining, Dominic has made noticeable strides. “I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my son’s technical skills. He’s effectively integrated the knowledge gained from RISE sessions into both his practices and games,” James said. Dominic even looks forward to showing off what he learns at home.

For James, what stands out most is the atmosphere. “The atmosphere at BUSA and RISE is consistently positive. Whether it’s one-on-one sessions with the coach or group sessions with multiple kids, the focus remains on conditioning and drills that keep it fun and engaging,” he shared. The fact that many of Dominic’s teammates also participate only adds to the motivation and sense of community.

The support system at BUSA makes a difference too: “The parents are encouraging, the coaching staff is exceptional, and the kids have a fantastic time making the most of the program,” James added.

When asked why he would recommend RISE, his answer was simple: “It’s an excellent and enjoyable program that allows kids to grow in their soccer journey. They can apply the knowledge to their practices and games, and the staff creates a positive, enriching atmosphere for all.”

For families across BUSA—just like James and Dominic in Frederick—RISE is more than extra training. It’s about helping kids reach their full potential, on the field and beyond.
