BUSA-FREDERICK FAMILY DAY: ONE BIG SOCCER FAMILY

On August 23, Ballenger Creek Park was filled with soccer, smiles, competition, and, most importantly, the BUSA Family spirit!

Our BUSA Frederick Family Day brought together coaches, athletes, parents, siblings, and families for a special day on and off the field. What was originally planned as a fun 3v3 tournament quickly turned into something much bigger than we expected!

We had originally planned for around 60 children to participate, but approximately 100 young athletes showed up! Add parents, siblings, relatives, and our coaching staff, and we had an incredible crowd celebrating together. Our little “problem” was actually a GREAT one: way more people came than we expected!

Instead of changing the plan, we embraced the moment. The 3v3 games continued for nearly two hours, giving the kids plenty of opportunities to play, compete, laugh, and enjoy the game they love.

And we weren’t done yet!

After the kids’ tournament, it was time for a special Coaches vs. Parents Scrimmage. The competition was intense, the effort was questionable, and the coaches came away with the victory… obviously! 😂

Jokes aside, the scrimmage was incredibly fun and brought everyone together in a different way. Seeing our coaches, parents, and athletes sharing the field was a perfect representation of what BUSA is all about.

More than a soccer event, BUSA Family Day was a celebration of our community. It showed us just how strong the BUSA Frederick family is and how much potential we have when we come together.

Thank you to every athlete, parent, family member, and coach who made this day so special. We expected 60 kids and welcomed around 100. We couldn’t have asked for a better “problem” to have!

This was one to remember. And trust us… we’re already looking forward to the next one
