The impact of this training program is already being felt at higher levels of the game. A standout example is Quinn Burns, goalkeeper for the 2010 age group, who recently became the starting goalkeeper for Kent Island High School during his freshman year—a remarkable achievement that highlights the quality and consistency of our goalkeeper development pathway.
Back in 2022, BUSA took an important step in its player development structure: the launch of a specialized goalkeeper training program led by Coach Paulo. What began as a focused initiative has now evolved into one of the most essential pillars of our club’s identity. Today, BUSA proudly develops goalkeepers across all age groups—from the youngest 2017 teams to our most experienced 2010 athletes.
Under the guidance of dedicated coaches such as Coach PV, Coach Guto, and currently Coach Mingo, the program has flourished. Each session is designed not only to enhance technical skills, reflexes, and game understanding but also to build leadership, confidence, and love for the position.

One powerful testament to the success of our goalkeeper training comes from Luiza Fisher, mother of Francisco, a passionate young athlete who plays as a goalkeeper for the 2014 and 2015 Green Boys teams. She shared:
“Since my son discovered his passion for soccer, he’s shown a special love for the goalkeeper position. Thanks to the training sessions he had early on with Coach PV, Coach Guto, and now with Coach Mingo, he’s been learning so much—and that clearly shows in his performance on the field. BUSA helped spark a passion in my son, and now I can see the happiness in his eyes at every game, practice, and even during casual conversations with his teammates and coaches.”
At BUSA, we believe that goalkeepers are not just the last line of defense—they are leaders, playmakers, and an essential part of every team. Our commitment to training keepers is stronger than ever, and we’re proud to continue shaping the next generation of confident, skilled, and passionate goalkeepers for years to come.
