At BUSA, success isn’t measured only by wins, trophies, or championships; it’s measured by the impact we make in our community.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve been committed to developing players through our Beyond Soccer philosophy, helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. Today, we’re proud to see that same commitment being recognized in another meaningful way.
This Fall, several BUSA coaches will be leading High School programs across our community, a reflection of the trust, respect, and reputation they have earned through years of dedication to our players and families.
Kent Island High School
- Coach Pedro – Varsity Girls
- Coach Ygor – Varsity Boys
- Coach Enio – JV Girls
- Coach Luís – JV Boys
The Gunston School
- Coach Heldrin – Varsity Girls
- Coach Nathan – JV Boys
This success is built on a foundation that has been growing year after year. Last season, Coach Lucas (who unfortunately couldn’t join us this Fall) led the Gunston School Varsity Girls to the ESIAC Championship, while Coach Heldrin and Coach Luís guided the Gunston School JV Boys. At the same time, Coach Pedro led the Kent Island High School Varsity Girls to an outstanding season, competing for the Regional Championship.
Seeing our coaches take on leadership roles at some of the area’s most respected High Schools is more than a professional achievement—it’s proof that the work BUSA has been doing for the past decade is making a lasting impact.
Just as we’re proud to watch our current and former players reach new levels in their soccer journeys, we’re equally proud to see our coaches recognized as leaders and mentors within the local school community. Every opportunity earned by one of our coaches reflects the quality of the work happening every day on our fields and the trust our community continues to place in the BUSA family.
This recognition belongs to every family, player, coach, and supporter who has been part of the BUSA journey. Together, we’ve built something that extends far beyond our own fields.
As another Fall Season begins, we’re excited to continue inspiring the next generation of athletes while strengthening the relationships that make our community so special.
Congratulations to all of our coaches, and good luck this High School season!
